Psychological Problems among College Students
There is no denying the fact that psychological problems arebecoming serious among college students. Reports are often heard thatsome collegians committed suicide or murdered their roommates. Typicalexamples include the case of a Chinese student named Ma Jiajue and thatof a Korean student studying in the U.S.
A number of factors may account for these young men and women’stroubles, but the following might the critical ones. First, as youngadults, most of them are at the stage of personality formation and arequite sensitive to their surroundings. Secondly, they are at a criticalpoint of personal development and are facing pressure from variousaspects: love, academy, job-seeking and so on. To make things worse, most of them are living off home and without their parents care andsupervision.
In view of the seriousness of the problem, effective measures mustbe taken before things get worse. First, it is essential that thechannel of communication be kept open among students, between studentsand their superintendents as well as between students and theirparents. Besides, psychological counseling should be enhanced andrendered to problem students in time. Only with these measures takencan we expect sound growth of college students.
Should parents send their kids to overseas schools?
With the remarkable improvement of people’s living standard, more and more parents tend to send their kids to overseas schools. To this phenomenon, it’s little wonder that there are two different views. Some people hold the positive view with their sound reasons. They claim that overseas studying can widen kids’ horizon and receive accept a better education. Perhaps in their opinion the way will be more conductive to their kids especially for better jobs.
However, we can also hear another standpoint arguing that studying abroad does not necessarily mean that it will exert positive effects on kids. Maybe they couldn’t fit in there so that it gives rise to various problems in study and life. From another perspective, it may go to the disadvantage of cultural heritage of China.
With the reference of my standpoint, I believe that overseas studying benefits children. It is undeniable that studying abroad and exchange ideas and emotions with foreigners is an irresistible trend of the social development. But to inherit Chinese excellent culture is a duty to every Chinese.
Should Graduates Spend Much on Job Hunting?
Should Graduates Spend Much on Job Hunting? Nowadays college graduates spend more and more money on job hunting. According to a recent survey, almost every graduate spends some money on finding a job. And clothing, transportation, resumes producing and training expense are the main aspects that cost them a lot of money.
As to this phenomenon, different people have different views. Some say it is necessary for graduates to spend money in producing embellished resumes and buying suitable clothes, which can give interviewers a good impression and increase their chance of success. However, others dont think so. They argue that the high expenditure can increase their parents financial burden since most students have no regular income. Apart from that, the decorated resumes do little help to find a job because most HR managers pay more attention to skills.
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong for graduates to invest some money on job hunting. But they should bear in mind that it is their knowledge, skills as well as experience that matter a lot. So they must have a rational attitude toward what they should buy and how much money they should spend.
With the flourish of education industry, modern students are faced with more alternatives to continue their further education. Both attending a vocational college or a university serves as two main options for the high school graduates. In terms of which to choose and what to be taken into consideration, I shall advise as follows:
Primarily, self-orientation matters the most when it comes to a issue like this. Obviously, the main task of vocational college is cultivating human resource with practical capability. Instead, university serves as the cradle of academic researchers in different areas. Therefore, being aware of your self-expectation with a clear future blueprint lays a foundation for this important decision.
Apart from what has been mentioned above, personal interest also plays a key role in it. For both passion and motivation are derived from interest, which not only decide how far you can reach academically and professionally but also how happy and fulfilled you will be .
To sum up, a clear recognition of self orientation and personal interest will decide whether you will tick the box of vocational college or university. Only in this way can we get the most out of the further education.

Work Pressure 工作压力
Work pressure refers to the compelling force or influence that comes from one's work. Nowadays with the competition in the work field becoming more and more fierce (激烈), work pressure has become a serious problem for every person. It has held a growing attention.
Its negative effects can be seen from the two aspects. In the physical aspect, it does much harm to people's physical health. Put under the constant pressure to keep their competitive edge, people work harder. They may catch some diseases under exhausting conditions. In the psychological aspect, it can lead to some psychological disorders. Work pressure is closely relevant to worries about setback, failure, shrinking (裁员). If the pressure is too great or lasts too long, people might collapse under it.
Since work pressure can affect people in such a serious wayn how can we tackle it B People could relax or refresh themselves on weekends or on holidays. Optimism, confidence, efficiency, regular exercise are also remedies. Certainly people could not avoid it, but they could try to reduce its side effects and not to be burdened by it.
