　　The colleges and departments attached to Business School are colleges of public administration, business administration, management science and engineering, and departments of international economy and trade, accounting, and marketing. There are altogether 12 undergraduate majors, namely, international economy and trade, international business, accounting, financial management, marketing, HR management, business administration, information management and systems, e-commerce, logistics management, industrial engineering and public utilities management.

　　The School has established a post-doctoral station for management science and engineering; 2 PhD programs for population resources and environmental economics, and management science and engineering; 3 master-degree programs of disciplines of business administration, management science and engineering, public administration; 10 master-degree programs of secondary disciplines of population, resources and environmental economics, international trade, world economics, industrial economics, enterprise management, technical economics and management, accounting, education economics and management, administration and social security; 4 master-degree programs of MPA, MBA, MEM and MPAcc; as well as 3 majors for master’s degree, namely, logistics engineering, industry engineering and project management engineering. The majors of population resources and environmental economics, and management science and engineering are the key subjects of Shandong Province.

　　The School has a rich academic atmosphere. It has set up 9 provincial or university-level academic and research institutions, including Shandong Provincial Research Center of World Economy, Research Center of Population, Resources and Environment in Blue Economic Zone, Marketing Research Center, Qingdao University Research Center for Social Responsibility of Enterprise, Yellow Sea Economic Research Institute, Finance and Accounting Institute, Institute of Sustainable Development and Management of Marine, Economic Development Institute, Institute of Brain Science and Human Resource Management, in addition to several college-level academic research institutions. Among them, Shandong Provincial Research Center of World Economy, Research Center of Population, Resources and Environment in Blue Economic Zone are the key research bases in Shandong Province. Lectures are available all year round in the School, including Scholar Forum on Friday Night, series of lectures on Dream-Setting-Sail, lectures given by well-known alumni and famous local entrepreneurs, Fushan Forum (MBA) by famous local entrepreneurs and Seeking-the-Truth Forum by graduates in the School.

　　Business school always takes the quality of talent cultivation as the lifeline of its career development in order to cultivate excellent innovative economic and managerial talents. It not only focuses on basic theory teaching of economics and management, but also excels at the close integration between theory and practice. Adhering to the concepts of “inviting in and going out ", and “opening teaching and opening education”, the School insists on the cooperation of school and enterprise, combination of politics, industry, education and research. It also focuses on training students’ ability to analyze and solve practical problems, and striving to build talent brand.It has set up a cooperative unit of education, internship and employment with over 40 enterprises, including Huatong Group, He Xin Accounting Firm, Qingdao Hanhe Cable Group, Weiqiao Textile Company Ltd., Bank of China branch in Qingdao, Hisense Real Estate, Hailir Pesticides and Chemicals Group, D&D Group, Wanbao Group, Tianxin Group in Binzhou, Bangjie Group, Liqun Dept. Store, Qingdao Canaan Home Fashion Products Co., Ltd., and SF Express. There are several special recruitment fairs held by alumni and related enterprises every year. Students have the chance to get internship or employment in those enterprises each year.

　　There are also various kinds of scholarship, including National Scholarship, National Endeavor Fellowship, Provincial Scholarship, Provincial Endeavor Fellowship, University President Scholarship, Huatong Scholarship, Huatong Best Teaching Award, Huatong Social Practice Scholarship, Tsingtao-Beer Scholarship, Qingdao Bank Scholarship, Mr. Song Zhuozhang Education Foundation Scholarship, Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship, Chailease Scholarship, Kiswire Scholarship, Tirecool Scholarship, Aeon Scholarship, as well as more than 20 grants, for a total amount of more than 4 million yuan. About 40% of students can get scholarships or grants, which is a higher rate among the colleges. Extra funds of over 2.5 million yuan are also provided, including Wanbao Group MBA Cooperation Fund, D&D Group MBA Cooperation Fund, and Hailir Group MBA Cooperation Fund.

　　The School performed well in various matches of science and technology research, start-up business activities for college students and recreational activities. Students won silver and bronze medals as well as the special award in the Challenge Cup National College Students Business Plan Competition. They also won the first prize in Students Competition of Overall Quality in Shandong Province, etc. Students of Business School also took the lead in the university-level track and field sports meetings and basketball, football, group calisthenics games. Active and well-liked school societies are highlights and the number of art, poem and drama societies has reached more than 30.

　　The school steps up efforts in R&D innovation, takes active part in national and provincial scientific research tasks and channels great energy into expansion of social service programs, which have shown significant progress. The school has gained rich research fruits and distinctive theoretical establishments in sustainable development economics, information management, project management, economy of techniques, strategic management, marketing, finance and accounting, logistics supply chain, educational economics and management, administrative management and HR management. In recent five years, the school has undertaken over 20 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China and national soft science projects, as well as over 50 research projects of provincial and ministry level. The school has won 11 provincial-level (or above) scientific research awards, published over 30 treatises, and over 600 papers on core academic journals at home and abroad. The school also pays great attention to international exchange and cooperation, and so far it has established close ties with Southeast Missouri State University, Florida International University, Amsterdam School of Business, Southern Cross University, Kangwon National University, Kyung Hee University, and The Catholic University of Korea to exchange visiting scholars and students, co-run MBA and cooperate in research projects.

　　With experts and scholars acting as senior consultants of the government, the school takes an active part in the urban construction and social development of Qingdao city. Having been training nearly 1,000 executives for renowned groups such as Haier, Hisense, Tsingtao Beer, Jiao Yun, Double Star, Qingdao Iron and Steel Group, etc., the school has made great contributions to the regional economic growth.
