　　1000=one thousand

　　2000=two thousand

　　百年，读作“X hundred”：

　　1900=nineteen hundred

　　600=six hundred

　　百位是零，读作“X thousand and Y”，可省略and:

　　2008=two thousand and eight

　　或two thousand eight

　　1054=one thousand fifty-four

　　2014=two thousand fourteen

　　百位不是零，读作“X hundred and Y”，可省略hundred and：

　　1997=nineteen hundred and ninety-seven

　　3、“千”年的读法

　　另外，像2000年一般读成two thousand, 2001年则读成two thousand and one,以此类推，2004年应读成two thousand and four。 January 12th, 1993读成January the twelfth, nineteen ninety-three。

　　4、第3个数字为"0"的读法

　　第三个数字为“零”（其他数字不是“零”）的年份的`读法应当将该“零”读为O［u］。

　　例如：1809年读作 eighteen O nine

　　5、其他年份的读法

　　另外，还有一些非四位数的年份，它们有两种读法：一种是按照基数词的方法来读，另一种是一个一个数字来读。
