  英文说课稿4

Good afternoon, every one. It is my great honor to stand here to present my lesson. To make my presentation clearer, I will explain my lesson plan in the following parts

Part One: Analysis of the teaching material

Reading teaching is a very important part in English teaching. New Curriculum standard requires that students should get some kinds of information, enlarge their knowledge, enjoy and get gum, cultivate and develop their reading skills through reading.

The lesson I am going to talk about is the reading part in Chapter6 from Oxford English 7A. It is a story about a crew’s adventure on another planet. The title is Nobody wins. Part One of the story appears in Chapter 5 and students will know the result of the story in this chapter. Students only know part of the story in Chapter5, so they will be very interested and eager to know the result of the story. They may be very exciting when they know the result.

  Part Two: Teaching aims

According to my understanding of the material and students, I establish the following teaching aims:

  1. Students can read and understand the story.

  2. Students can develop their guessing, skimming and scanning skills.

  3. Students can build up their self-confidence and learn how to cooperate with others well.

Teaching key point and difficult point:

The key point of this lesson is to develop students’ scanning and skimming skills. The difficult point of this lesson is some difficult words in the story.

  Part Three: Teaching equipment

  CAI, tape recorder

Part Four: Teaching methods and learning methods

  1. Communicative teaching method

  2. Task-based" teaching method

  3.Cooperative learning method

As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. To use these methods are helpful to develop the students’ abilities.

  Part Five: Teaching procedures

  (1) Pre-reading activity:

Students act out part one of the story.

Students have learned part one of this story in Chapter 5. After learning Chapter 5, students know what the story is about but they don’t know the result of the story. The ending of part one is that the main character of the story says all of them will be alive. (The main characters were caught by a monster and trapped in a cage)。 After students act out part one of the story, I will raise a question to lead in my lesson: What’s the main character’s plan to save the crew from danger? Ask students to number the paragraphs in the story. There are totally twelve paragraphs in this story.

  (2) While-reading activities:

Activity one: Guessing: Students often meet with some new words in reading. When

they see the new words, they are either frightened by the new words or they spend too

much time in looking up the words in the dictionary. It will be helpful to improve

students’ reading ability if they know how to guess the meaning of the words

according to the context. When they are doing this part, ask them to finish it by

themselves first and then ask them to discuss in groups.

Ask students to find the following words in the story and use them to replace the words in italics in the sentences.

  immediately, secretly, attacked, escape

  1. The captain’s men climbed into the kangaroos’ pockets and no one saw them.

  2. After super, Gork went to bed and fell asleep at once.

  3. Gork shouted because Nobody hit him.

  4. They could not kill Gork. Otherwise, they could not get away.

Activity two: skimming (When students do the skimming task, they don’t need to read the whole story word by word and they don’t need to understand the whole story. The skimming task only requires students to read parts of the story and get the main information of the story. This skill will help students to develop the ability to find out the key words and key sentences to understand the main idea of the story. It is helpful to increase students’ reading speed. )

Ask students to number the paragraphs in the story. There are totally twelve paragraphs in this story.

  1. Ask students to read the first and the last three paragraphs and answer the following questions:

  a. What will they use to melt the bars of the cage?

  b. Were they free?

  2. Ask students to read the story quickly and give correct orders to the following sentences:

  a. Then you’ll use it to kill Gork, Captain.

  b. Gork, this is nobody.

  c. You just had a bad dream.

  d. We will use this laser torch to melt the bars of the cage.

  e. We can’t kill him.

  f. Nobody attacked and damaged my eye.

Activity Three: scanning (scanning is a kind of skill used to find out the main information in reading. When scanning, students don’t need to read the story word by word, they just need to scan the relative part of the story according to the information they need to find out. )

Ask students to fill in the blanks according to the story.

Gork fell asleep. Captain King told his ________. They _____ from the cage. King shouted "This is _________" and use a ________ _______ to aim at Gork’s eye. The kangaroos did not help Gork because he said nobody ________ him. King and his friends _________ into the kangaroos’ pockets and escaped the cave.

  (3)Post-reading activity:

Students work in groups to tell Captain King’s plan to save them from the danger with the help of the given questions.

  How did King call himself?

What did they use to melt the bars?

  What hit Gork’s eye?

When the kangaroos came, what did Gork say?

After this activity, I will tell them the moral education of this story: When you are in danger, you should calm down, use your brain and try to think of some ways to save yourself from danger.

  (5)Homework: 1.Finish the exercise on page 74 and 75.

  2. Write down the story in your own words.

The above is my presentation about my lesson plan. Thank you for listening.

“Reading――― A NIGHT THE EARTH DIDN’T SLEEP” 具体描写1976年唐山大地震的震前、震中和震后。本篇文章词汇量大,运用了大量的动词、复杂的数字,出现许多定语从句,篇幅较长,并且采用一些修辞手法,对学生的语言阅读能力提出了更高的要求。但文章的结构较明显,较容易归纳出各部分的中心词。

  (二)教学目标

  1. 语言知识目标:

  a)使学生了解自然灾害的相关词汇,并掌握复杂数字的表达法。

b)学习掌握与地震相关的词汇,如:shake, well, rise, smelly, pond, pipe, burst, canal, steam, ruin, injure, destroy, brick, dam, useless, steel, shock, quake, rescue, electricity, disaster, army, organize, bury, coal, mine, shelter, fresh, percent等,以及 right away, at an end, dig out, give out, thousands of以及一些优美句子的赏析。

  Step 4 post-reading

  Step6 homework 作业

  1、要求学生背诵本次课的重点词汇和短语

  2、要求完成相应联系。

  3、要求学生课后通过各种途径查到关于地震的常识,并去了解一些

  英文说课稿6

Good morning, teachers. Today I’m very glad to show my teaching plan here. The lesson I’m going to talk about is from lesson 1, unit 1, PEP book 1. Generally, I’ll teach this lesson from the following aspects: teaching material, teaching aims, teaching and learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard designing.

Firstly, let’s look at the teaching material. This unit discusses about the stationery. And this lesson is the first one of this unit. It consists of two parts: Let’s learn and Let’s do. In Let’s learn, it requires Ss to master the new words "pencil, pen, crayon, ruler, eraser". Ss have learned some words about stationery. They’re still very interested in that. So they’ll be interested in this new lesson.

Secondly, let’s talk about the teaching aims. The New Curriculum Standard points out that the objective of English in the basic educational stage is to develop Ss’ ability of language using. According to that and the teaching material, I’d like to make the following aims:

First, knowledge aims: Enable Ss to master the new words "pencil, pen, crayon, ruler, eraser" and the structure "I like…".

Second, ability aims: Develop Ss’ basic ability of listening and speaking. Enable them to use the structure freely in the real situation.

Third, emotion aims: Develop Ss’ consciousness of cooperation and competition.

Fourth, learning strategy aims: Enable Ss to pay attention to the observation and communication.

Fifth, culture aims: Make Ss understand the differences between Chinese and English culture.

According to the analysis of material and the characteristics of pupils, I think the teaching importance of this lesson is the 5 new words and the new structure. The teaching difficulty is to use the words and the structure freely in the real situation.

Thirdly, I’d like to analyze Ss and show you my teaching and learning methods.

Grade 3 is the first year to learn English. Ss are very curious about English. They’re active and competitive. Also, they are good at imitating. But, their attention can’t be kept long. So it requires us to use attractive teaching manners to hold Ss’ attention. Based on the psychoanalysis and Ss’ interests, I mainly use the task-based approach, which embodies the idea of the New Curriculum Standard and can help Ss keep their passion for English. In order to help Ss finish the task efficiently, I’ve prepared activities such as TPR, chanting, singing, game, etc. I also arrange individual work, pair work and group work for Ss to practice. Besides, praise is very important. When they have a chance to speak, and have done a good job, they can get a star or something like that on their books. It’s very important to keep Ss’ interests.

Fourthly, we come to the most important part—the teaching procedures. It can be divided into 5 steps: warm-up, presentation, practice, extension and homework.

  First, let’s look at step 1 "Warm-up".

In this part, I’ll get the Ss to sing a song and do some revision.

The purpose of singing a song is to attract Ss’ attention and make a relaxing atmosphere for Ss to concentrate on the English class. The revision aims to help Ss review the words and sentences they have learned before and get them prepared for the new lesson.

  Step 2 "Presentation".

As we know, children are characterized by image thinking. They can understand the content easily with the help of the gestures. After the new words are taught, a small conclusion can help them master better. And chant is a good way to strengthen their memory and make the poor feel confident, as well as their pronunciation and intonation. The chant in this part is like this: A pen, a pencil, I can see. A pen, a pencil, for you and me. And it’s necessary to present the new words in different ways to avoid boredom and tediousness.

  Step 3 "Practice".

Traditionally, there aren’t many chances offered for Ss to talk in the class. That’s not a proper way to learn English. So I’ll try some activities in my lesson, such as games and role play. Games aim to stimulate Ss’ interests in English and strengthen their memories of what’s been learned before. And also train their consciousness of cooperation and competition. Role play is a good way to improve their ability of language using.

  Step 4 is Extension.

This step is very important and necessary. I mainly put key points and difficulties in this part. Also, I’ll praise Ss’ behavior in this class.

It can make Ss know more clearly about what they have learned in this class, and proper complements can help them hold their interests.

  Step 5 "Homework".

  (1) Listen and read the new words after class.

  (2) Finish the exercise book.

Ss will forget the new lessen soon if they don’t practice. It’s necessary to give some proper assignment. And it’s also an important feedback.

Fifthly, I’ll show you my blackboard designing. I divide the whole class into 4 groups. Each group can get a star when any one of them does a good job. And that’s a competition that can keep their attention. (Write the new words and the structure on the board.)

  Lesson plan presentation

Hello. It’s my pleasure to present my lesson plan here. The plan is for PEP NSEFC Module 1 Unit 5 Nelson Mandela -- A Modern Hero. This is the fourth period of the unit. The lesson type is reading and writing. Ss have learnt the reading part, finished the language points in the intensive reading. Now, firstly, let’s have a look at the teaching material in using language for reading and writing. The reading passage tells Elias’ working experience under the guidance of Nelson Mandela. The content connects with the reading part of this unit. Ss will continue to learn and evaluate Mandela’s great contribution and qualities from the point of Elias. It is helpful for writing. As writing task asks Ss to write a summary of Mandela’s life, there is some information related with Mandela’s life experience in the textbook. Ss have learnt much about Elias’ story and Mandela’s quality, but there is still a gap between what they have learnt and what they are going to output. Therefore, according to Ss’ interest and current knowledge, I add something about Bill Gates’ life experience. This can provide Ss more knowledge for writing. Thus Ss will share the values of both great people and famous people.

Accordingly, based on the teaching material and learning condition, referred to the New English Curriculum lever six, the teaching objectives are as follows: For languages skills, Ss will be able to find some relative events describing the character, therefore, based on the findings they can talk about the qualities of great people. By making use of the given material, they can write a biography of great or famous people with the words and expressions learnt. For linguistic knowledge, Ss can use the words and expressions to describe people’s qualities, such as be sentenced to, escape from, and so on. Ss will be familiar with the elements and structure of biography. For learning strategies, they will be able to discuss efficient and make a draft in groups. They can make a summary of what they have learnt and make use of that into practice. They can learn to evaluate the outcome of their learning. For affects, Ss will learn from the qualities of the great and famous people. They can be aware of the greatness of responsibility for the sociality. For culture awareness, Ss will know the human condition of South Africans around 1950s.

Secondly, let’s see how to teach. This period focuses on developing Ss’ reading and writing competence. Besides, in order to fully use the teaching material and improve the efficiency of classroom activities, I will adopt the teaching mode put forward by Professor Luo Xiaojie, three stages and seven steps—reading for writing. The three stages are reading, speaking and writing. The seven steps are lead-in, predicting, while reading, post reading, writing preparation, writing a draft and writing assessment. So, accordingly, I will add some speaking activities before and after reading. There will be a discussion as the transition from reading to writing.

Now, let’s focus on the main part of this presentation—teaching procedures. With the help of PPT and Multimedia, we will start our lesson with a guessing activity. It needs 3mins. I will ask Ss who is your hero or heroine. With the answers, I will tell Ss whether their hero or heroine is great people or famous people. Thus, they can know the difference between great people and famous people. Then, I will show Ss pictures and tell them one of the people in the picture is my idol. Ss will have a guess. Their interest can be totally aroused. Then, I will ask Ss: to South African, who is their “Zhou Enlai”? Then, we will move to the teaching of today naturally.

The second step is revision and predication. According to “I +1” theory, Ss can learn more based on what they have got. So the revision can help Ss activate the background information. There are two activities here. For the first one, Ss will retell Elias’ story by making sentences based on key words. For the second one, Ss will fill in a passage with the given words. By doing so, Ss will recall or learn the words within the content. After that, a prediction based on the passage will be given. Ss will predict the things happened to Elias. This step needs 9mins.

Now, Ss are ready for reading. For the third step, while reading, two activities will be given to be finished within 8mins. Activity one is answering questions. Three questions will be raised. In activity two, five sentences will be given with verbs or none-verbs missing. Ss will read the passage quickly and finish these two activities. Then they will know the general idea of the story. Meanwhile, with the answers, Ss will learn some words and expressions which are important for writing.

For one of the key points today, Ss will use the words to describe people. So after reading, Ss will have a discussion. This is step four. Four minutes will be spent here. Ss will use given words and phrases to describe Mandela from the viewpoints of Elias and themselves. These two steps function as the input for writing, getting Ss prepared for the words and viewpoints.

While, there are more things for Ss to do before writing. For the fifth step, Ss will have some preparation for writing. 6 ms will be given. Activity one is translation. Ss will have a chance to practice the words and phrases taken from the text. Ss will use some of them. Here, Ss will solve a difficulty. They will know how to use the attributive clause with prepositions. Activity two is making outline. Ss will work out an outline for an essay to describe a person.

Now, Ss are ready and feel confident and eager to write the first draft. Ss will have 8 ms to compose an essay about Nelson Mandela. They can also be allowed to write about Bill Gates according to your preferences. This is the key point for today, for all the prior steps aim to get Ss prepared for words, ideas, outlines, etc.

Based on interactive theory, writing is a process between Ss and Ss, between Ss and the teacher. So the last step is writing assessment. I will choose one of the students’ essays to check and make some comments, and then students are told to check their essays by themselves based on given criteria. The criteria are designed according to content, structures, language, and handwriting. Then Ss are asked to exchange their writings and make peer evaluations about each other’s essays. They will finish this step within 6ms.

According to process—oriented process, writing doesn’t end at first draft. So Ss will further polish their drafts and rewrite. This revision task is considered as the homework today.

For blackboard notes, I will show the outline and some key words for them. That’s all for my presentation. Thank you.

  英文说课稿9

Hello, Everyone! I’m XXX from . It’s my great honor to present my lesson plan. In my presentation, I’ll analyze the teaching material and learners, state the learning objectives, and then describe the teaching procedures.

  I. Analysis of the teaching material and learners

First of all, let’s see the teaching material. It is the second period of PEP NSEFC Module2 Unit1—Learning about Language. This period is designed to enrich students’ vocabulary and help them master the usage of some words and expressions under the topic of cultural relics.

The lesson is prepared for the students in senior grade one. In the first period of this unit, students have learned some words and expressions in the reading material In Search of the Amber Room. So students know their meanings in the context of Amber Room, but they don’t know how to use them in other contexts. As regards to the topic, Senior One students have learned a lot about cultural relics both in China and abroad so they have quite good background knowledge. Therefore, I can use the famous cultural relics—Yuan Ming Yuan as a clue to present the target language, which also provides real situations for the students to use what they have learned.

  II. Learning objectives

Based on the analyses of the learning material and the learners, I set the following learning objectives:First, Language skills. By the end of this lesson, the students will be able to guess the meaning of some new words within the context and they will be able to draw a conclusion about how the language items are used through comparison and examples. Second, language knowledge. The students are expected to use the following words, phrases and useful structures correctly in different contexts. (Words: amazing, select, design, fancy, style, artist; Phrases: decorate…with, be considered as, less than, belong to, at war; Useful structures: have sth. done) These are also the language focuses of this lesson. Third, learning strategy. During the class, the students will be asked to use memory strategies including semantic association, contextualization, word formation, and grouping when learning some key words. They will use the cognitive strategy of comparison and examples when learning the usage of the words and phrases individually and in groups. And they will use communication strategy to cooperate with their classmates in group work and work as a guide to introduce Yuan Ming Yuan. Lastly, affect and cultural awareness. During the process of learning, the students will raise the awareness of cultural relic protection.

  III. Teaching procedure

In order to achieve these learning objectives, several activities are designed for the lesson. The teaching procedures are divided into four steps.

Step 1 is lead-in. Before the class, I will play a short video clip about Yuan Ming Yuan. It has been played in the first period. But this time it is played to activate students’ old knowledge. So as soon as the class begins, students can talk about what they know about Yuan Ming Yuan freely, the situation of which is very similar to that of the amber room.

Step 2 is to practice some useful words and expressions within seven activities. The first activity is to find out similarities between Yuan Ming Yuan and the Amber Room, since these two have something in common, especially in the history and the current situation. It aims to help the students to recall some key language items, such as “belong to”, “at war” by talking about something about Amber Room they have learned in the previous lesson. In activity 2, I will show a short excerpt from the first paragraph of the reading material with some parts covered. Students should fill in the blanks without referring to the book. After the answers are shared, I will encourage students to compete to recite it. This reciting competition heightens the classroom atmosphere and helps the students remember the key language items as well. In the third activity, I change the context into Yuan Ming Yuan. This time students should use the words and phrases from the first paragraph to complete the description about Yuan Ming Yuan. So here, we see, students learn the language items in the reading material and then they have a chance to use them in another similar context.

In the fourth activity, students will learn some useful words and expressions. They will read five sentences describing the Amber Room and then find out the similar expressions from Paragraph 2-4 to replace the underlined parts. Then the context changed into that of Yuan Ming Yuan again. Students should discover the usage of the word “remain” by studying these examples (refer to PPT) about Yuan Ming Yuan, which is the task in activity 5. Then in activity 6, students will tell the parts of speech of the words “design” and “wonder” in different sentences. These three activities are designed to encourage students to discover the target language in the context by themselves. Meanwhile, their ability of inducing rules can be developed by learning examples.

In the last activity of Step2, students are supposed to learn and use a useful structure “have sth. done”. Firstly I will lead the students to discover the structure by asking a question according to the reading material. After discovering the structure, students will work in groups to practice it. They will talk about what happened to Yuan Ming Yuan when China, Britain and France were at war by using the structure. As it is a bit difficult, I will first offer an example and some clues to lessen the difficulty, then students should create sentences on their own.

Step 3 is passage-rewriting. After learning words, expressions and a structure, it’s time to write a passage. Students should rewrite this passage about Yuan Ming Yuan by replacing the underlined parts with these expressions from the text. This activity is to make sure that the students can use the target language properly.

In the fourth step, there is an oral presentation. Students are asked to be tourists guides. So they should work in groups of four and discuss how to introduce Yuan Ming Yuan. Students are required to use some certain newly-learnt expressions. After the discussion, several students will be asked to give a presentation. With all the previous input of useful words, expressions and the structure, the students are now able to give the introduction as an output.

Lastly, to consolidate what the students have learnt in this period, I set the following assignments. Firstly, students are asked to finish some multiple choices and spellings. Secondly, they should find out the differences between attributive clause and non-attributive clause and try to give two examples for each and get prepared for the Grammar Study in the next period.

  IV. Blackboard notes

That’s all for the teaching procedures. And these are the blackboard notes. On the left, there are some new words and expressions. On the right, there are some useful structures. They are all the language focuses of this period. I write them on the blackboard to remind students to use them as much as possible in group work throughout the lesson.

  V. Reflection

In conclusion, in this lesson language items are learned within a context of the reading material and practiced in the context of Yuan Ming Yuan created by the teacher. And efforts are also made to help students learn and use vocabulary by using efficient learning strategy. To make the learning process natural and progressive, the period starts with words and phrases, and then focuses on the sentence structures and paragraphs. Thus, the students’ oral output will be possible owing to the previous input.

That’s all for my presentation. Thank you for your attention.

  b、先行词是all,something,nothing,anything等不定代词时,只能用that。

  c、先行词既有人也有物时,只用that引出从句。

d、先行词是one of,the one, 或用little, few, no, all, any, only, just, very作修饰时,只能用that。

  e、当主句已有疑问词 who或which时,只能用that。

  2、定语从句中宜用which而不宜用that的情况。

  a、当关系代词前面有介词时。

  b、在非限制性定语从句中。

  c、在一个句子中有两个定语从句,其中一个从句的关系代词用了that,另一个宜用which。

  二)、who和that的特殊用法:

  who、that在许多情况下可以通用,但有时宜用who不用that。

  a、先行词是one(s),anyone,someone, those时,关系词使用who。

  b、在there be 句型中,先行词指人时,关系词用who。

  GRAMMAR

  Attributive Clause

  6、布置作业

  Finish off the exercise paper.

Good afternoon, everyone, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson withyou. The content of my lesson is Senior English for China Book1B Unit 16 Scientists at work. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the teaching procedure, and Blackboard design.First, let me talk about the teaching material.

  Part 1 Teaching Material:

This unit is about science and scientists. By studying of this unit, we’ll Enable the students to know the serious attitude towards science and develop the interest in science. At the same time ,Let the students learn how to give instructions. this lesson plays an important part in the English teaching in this unit. This is an important lesson in Book One. From this lesson, it starts asking the Ss to grasp contents of each passage.

Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.As we all know ,reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has great effect on output , such as speaking and writing . According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新课程标准和教学大纲), after studying the teaching material and analyzing the rule of children’s growing of mind,I think the teaching aims are the followings:

  1.Knowledge objects:

a)The Ss can hear, read, and use the main sentence patterns

b)The Ss can understand the content of the lesson.

c)The Ss can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper situation.

  2.Ability objects:

  (1) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

  (2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs.

  (3) To Improve the student’s reading ability, especially their skimming and scanning ability.

  3.Emotion or moral objects:

  a)By completing the task,the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in science;

b)Teach the Ss what is "science", put the moral education in the language study.

now, let’s come to the Important points and the Difficult points.

Well, how to achieve the teaching objects better, how to stress the important points and break through the difficult points? As is known to us all,The modern teaching demands the teacher should improve the students’ ability. A good teaching method requires that the teacher should have the leading effects. According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’learning background ,I will use the following methods .

  Part 2 Teaching Methods:

In my opinion, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use "Communicative" Approach(交际教学法), "Whole language teaching" (整体语言教学法)and "Task-based" language teaching (任务教学法)。 That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. According to the modern social communication teaching theories(现代社会交际教学理论), I adopt the TSA method(情景教学) and TBLT method (语言任务教学)in my teaching, namely Total Situational Action and Task-based Language Teaching. The former is a "scene — activity" teaching method .It establishes a real scene and the interaction between the teacher and the Ss . The latter offers the Ss an opportunity to complete the tasks in which Ss use language to achieve a specific outcome. The activity reflects real life and learners focus on meaning, they are free to use any language they want.At the same time, I’ll make use of the modern electricity teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means, it can develop the Ss creativity in learning English.

  Part 3 Studying Methods:

Our students are almost from the countryside. They are lack of geography knowledge and the cultural background of those foreign countries. As senior students ,they have a certain ability to read . And the beautiful places are most attractive and easily arouse students learning emotion. As for the learning methods, they are poor in cooperative learning skills. Some students are not active in the class ,and some students don’t like English.therefore, I ’ll have Ss study in a relaxed atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge in certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, thinking etc. And make preparation for completing the new study task. After feeling and understanding the language points, let Ss get the knowledge actively by probe study and cooperative study. In a word,we’ll

1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.

2.Let the Ss pass "Observation—Imitation—Practice "(观察—模仿—实践三步教学法) to study language.

3.Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.

  Part 4 Teaching Procedure:

  Step 1 Lead-in.

As we all know ,Benjamin Franklin is a famous politician and writer. But today, we will read a passage about him as a scientist. His serious attitude to science .Let’s see how Franklin made his famous electricity experiment by flying a kite.

  1)。 Group competition

In the 18th and 19th century, scientists all over the world made many important discoveries and inventions in different fields of physics, chemistry, medicine, biology and so on. Divide the whole class into four groups to name some of them.

  2)。 Group work

A match competition. Match Column B with Column A correctly.give more examples to make Ss get information.

Purpose of my design:To get to know something about the story of famous scientists.

To have a better understanding about the importance of experiments in science. It is really difficult for the scientists to achieve their goal , and only after tens of thousands of attempts, experiments, thinking and failure can they be successful in their research. Today, we are going to learn one example of them: Franklin’s famous kite experiment.

  英文说课稿13

Good morning, everyone! It’s my honor to present my lesson plan here. The teaching material comes from PEP Go for it 8B U6. The title of the reading part is I’ve been studying history in China. History is the topic of this passage. The story is narrated by an Australian, Leo, who tells his life in China, his family history and his study of history. This reading mainly focuses on developing Ss’ reading skill, especially scanning. So this is one of the language focuses. As for the content, because of many new words and phrases in the context and Ss’ lack of the knowledge about “history”, it is a little difficult for them to understand the passage. So the Ss may have a bit difficulty in retelling the passage in the last activity role-play. Thus I rearrange the material like this: The 3 questions in pre-reading are modified. I’ll choose some easier and funnier questions to lead Ss into the topic History. The grammar review in Exercise 3b, 3c is not the language focus in this lesson, thus it’s considered as the homework.

According to the New English Curriculum, the teaching should not only focus on the development of Ss’ reading strategy, also the Ss’ interest in English. So I apply communicative approach, making use of real-life situations to motivate their desire to communicate in meaningful ways about meaningful topics. Ss will enjoy their participation in this lesson by discussion and role-playing. As for the teaching aids, PPT, blackboard and audio tape are needed.

Based on those analyses, I set the following 5 teaching objectives. By the end of the class, Ss will be able to:

  1. Linguistic knowledge

Master new words and expressions, such as emperor, dynasty, capital etc. (this is the language focus)

Be familiar with the topic history.

  2. Language skills

Develop their reading skills, especially scanning. (This is the language focus I’ve mentioned before.)

Tell Mike Leo’s life in Harbin during the role-playing. (This is the anticipated difficulty.)

  3. Affects

Love our country by learning more about Chinese history.

  4. Cultural awareness

Know more about history of other countries.

  5. Learning strategy

Learn to get more information both from books and the Internet.

Ok, now let’s move to the most important part: teaching procedure. I adopt 3-stage model: pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading. The duration is 45 minutes.

In pre-reading stage, there’re 2 activities for 9mins. I’d like to introduce Leo to Ss as a new friend. The first activity is Leo’s self-introduction through a short record. The record is prepared before the class with some key information about Leo. As a foreigner, Leo loves Chinese history very much, so he has many questions to ask Ss. The first one is about the emperors and the dynasties. Ss should be able to do the match between them. Those emperors are all famous characters in the Chinese history, such as Tang Taizong, Cheng Jisihan, Kang Xi and so on. The second one is about the famous capitals in the history. Ss should pick out the city which was not the capital in the history. By the way, I will provide some information about Harbin, which is the city where Leo lives. This introduction can also build Ss’ knowledge structure. This kind of lead-in could be funnier and easier, and the comfortable atmosphere can help Ss’ to acquire new knowledge easily.

In the second stage while-reading, there are 2 steps; they are fast-reading for 6mins and careful-reading for 15mins. There’re 2 activities in fast-reading: skimming for the main idea of each paragraph and scanning for the specific and important information to fill in the blanks. These tasks can help them get the general idea of the passage.

In careful-reading step, I’ll guide them to learn the passage paragraph by paragraph, from Leo’s introduction to Leo’ s family history, and Leo’s study of history, the last is Leo’s dream. Different tasks are designed for Ss: For the first paragraph, Ss are asked to find some key words about Leo: Australian, Jewish, etc. For the second paragraph, Ss are required to fill in the time table about Leo’s family history. As for Leo’s study, Ss are asked to make a comparison between Leo and his friends. The last is Leo’s dream, I’ll ask Ss several simple questions. I will make sure that Ss won’t be bored by the tasks and participate in all the activities actively.

In post-reading, there’re 2 activities for 14mins: discussion for 5mins and role-playing for 9mins. I’ll ask Ss two questions: Q1: Why are some old buildings in Harbin built in Russian style? Q2: Why does Leo want to go to Beijing for the Olympic Games in 20xx? What can we infer from that? Ss are supposed to learn more about the history of China and other countries, and develop their patriotic feeling. The role-playing is Leo’s talking with his friend Mike. They are talking about Leo’ life, work and the future plan. What Ss have learned in this lesson is needed in the talking. In order to lower the degree of the difficulty, I’ll provide some sentence structures, some questions and key words. So this can be considered as a review of the whole lesson. And this is the right time to practice Ss’ oral English and they should talk in the correct tense to practice the grammar we have learned before.

The last minute is for explaining homework: Suppose that Leo’s friend Mike is coming China for the Olympic Games, we should give him some tips. Ss are asked to get more information through the books and the Internet, and then write down at least 3 tips in the following structure: If you want to go to the Great Wall, you will have to take No.15 bus…. This task comes from Exercise 3b, 3c. Ss can not only review adverbial clauses of condition introduced by If according to the requirements of the teaching material but also enjoy learning with the given situation. As time’s limited in the class, the task is left as the homework.

Finally, making a good use of the blackboard can help Ss learn better. So this is my blackboard design: the title is in the middle of the blackboard, the left part is for some information related to Leo and also the structure of the whole passage, the right part is for some new words and expressions.

  英文说课稿14

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! I’m XXX from No.2 High School. I’m very glad to present my lesson plan here. It is from Unit1 Module 2 NSEFC, Using language, reading, listening and speaking, the fourth period.

  I. Analysis of the teaching material and learners

The content of the material is about how the Amber Room got lost, which is also the clue of the whole lesson. The reading passage is about the definition of fact and opinion. There is an old miner’s story about what happened to the Amber Room for students to decide whether he gives facts or opinions. In the listening part, there are two pieces of narration about how the Amber Room got lost. Students will listen and then fill in two tables with some information missing, which is difficult for them. In the speaking section, discussions will be carried out by using the expressions from the table as the output.

My students are familiar with the Amber Room now because they have learnt about it in the previous lessons. They have learnt many useful words for describing the Amber Room, which can make listening easier. Their scanning skill, even though it is not well-developed, plays efficient role in getting the required information in the limited time. However, the students’ listening skill of note-taking is poor and the listening passage is long and difficult for them, and they have no idea about how the great treasure got lost, so finishing the table will be a difficulty. In order to make it easier for them to fulfill the listening task, some key words from the listening are given to students. Before the blank-filling, some multiple choices will be given in order to help students get the general idea of the passage.

  II. Learning objectives

According to the above analysis, I set the following learning objectives. Firstly, find out the differences between a fact and an opinion by scanning. Secondly, predict the content of listening by studying the key words that may appear in the listening content. Next, take notes of the key words from listening to get some information to fill in the tables and understand the main idea as well. Finally, learn the following words and expressions (trial, evidence, explode, entrance, sink, etc). by heart.

Among all the objectives, Finding out the differences between a fact and an opinion by scanning in reading process and knowing how to tell a fact from an opinion as well as give opinions are essential for the students. It is one of the focuses of this lesson. And in this lesson, the listening practice will take up most of the time because it is important for students to know how to take notes while they are listening. So this is another focus. The skill of note-taking is vitally important for the students during the whole process of English study, but it is also a difficult skill for them at present.

  III. Teaching procedure

We will spend 17 minutes on reading and 28 minutes on listening and speaking.

The first two steps are for the reading part. Step 1 is pre-reading. There are two activities. Activity 1 is reviewing. I will show students a passage about the summary of the reading passage In Search of the Amber Room. Students will fill in the blanks with the relative words of attributive clause. Blank filling with the relative words aims to check whether the students can use the grammatical rules learnt last period in another context. The last three sentences mainly talk about the loss of the Amber Room, which function as the topic for the next activity. Activity 2 is discussing. I will lead the students to discuss what information is the fact and what information is the opinion about the Amber Room from the summary. As one of the language focuses, the difference between fact and opinion will be paid much attention to in this step, which can make preparations for the following steps.

Step 2 is while-reading. There are two activities. Activity 1 is scanning to find out the definitions of fact and opinion, which is the foundation of this lesson. Activity 2 is also scanning. Students will be asked to read the story told by Jan and then fill in the table. After that, they will discuss whether the event Jan saw is a fact or an opinion by using the expressions in the table (slide). This activity offers students the chance to make judgment in a real life situation according to the definitions. They will use some expressions they know to give opinions by answering “why” questions.

Next comes the listening. There are two parts, Part A and Part B. Step 3 is pre-listening for part A. I will show students some key words and expressions from the listening material. I will explain them. The students will guess what they are going to listen from the newly learnt words and phrases. Step 4 is while-listening for Part A. I will give students two chances. After the first listening, the students will finish four multiple choices. Based on the four questions, the students will know the main idea of Part A. For the second listening, the students will be asked to take notes down, and then fill in the blanks according to the notes taken. After that, they will check the answers with their partners’. Step 5 and Step 6 are designed to deal with Part B. It will be done just as part A. Firstly, the students will study the key words from the listening and predict the content as the pre-listening activity. Then, for the first listening, listen for answers to four multiple choices to get the main idea of the listening. Lastly, for the second listening, the students will take down key words to fill in the table. Predicting with the key words may lessen the students’ difficulty in getting the information. Multiple choice exercises are for the preparation to get a general idea of the listening material, which can be helpful in the blank filling activity. The listening is the foundation for the next step.

Here comes Step 7, post-listening. There are two activities. Activity 1 is pair discussion. Based on the reading passage and the listening material, the students will be asked to decide who told the truth about the missing of the Amber Room and give the best evidence by using some functional items to ask for and give opinions in pairs. Activity 2 is a group discussion. I will create a real life situation. I will say that Shanghai Expo is a great success. The students will work in groups of four and have a discussion about whether it is the best exposition ever. During the discussion they can refer to more expressions of asking for and giving opinions in the textbook. Based on all these activities, students have got enough input. Now, it is quite natural for them to give a valid output in Step 8. After knowing what fact and opinion are and know how to give and ask for opinions, students may have less difficulty in doing this.

The class will end up with an exciting discussion. Then I will ask students to write five sentences as evidence to support their opinion that Shanghai Expo is best ever. This is the homework.

  IV. Blackboard notes

These are my blackboard notes. On the left, definitions of fact, opinion and evidence are given, which can help the students understand the key point in class. In the middle are key words from the first story in listening and on the right are the key words from the second story. Those words can be helpful for the students to get the general idea and easy to write down notes while they are listening.

  V. Reflection

To sum up, there is enough input from reading and listening material, which provide the students with essential knowledge about the concepts of fact, opinion and evidence necessary for students to distinguish facts from opinions for later speaking activities at output stage. This lesson can be viewed as a typical integration of reading, listening and speaking. Reading for the definitions of fact, opinion and evidence functions as the input before using the knowledge to make judgment on the facts and opinions after listening.

That’s all for my presentation. Thank you for listening.

和what’s that?

或what’s that?让学生作出相应的回答。适时还可用what colour is it?

  what’s that?向学生提问,学生可用中文来回答。教师引导用“it’s a…”

  1、游戏——say and point

  请四位学生上来,分别站在四个不同的方位,手里分别拿着实物pen,pencil,book,bag再请一名学生发出指令:point to the…其余学生做出相应的动作,以达到对新单词的熟练掌握。这个活动完全由学生来操作,既锻炼了学生的胆量和能力,又激发了学生学习的兴趣。

  2、演一演。这个部分是由学生导学。指派一生扮演tom,在教室随意走动,指向任一物品,用what’s this? 和what’s that?进行询问,其余学生扮演amy作答,以答到操练句型的目的。为了激发学生学习的积极性和主动性,可多抽几名学生扮演tom练习。这个环节主要是操练学生能正确使用what’s this? 和what’s that?来提问。对能正确使用this和 that来询问的学生要加以大力表扬和奖励。

  3、小组活动:ask and answer

  以学习小组(四人)为单位,摆出pen,pencil,book,bag等文具,可故意将其中的一件放远一些。然后指派一人分别用what’s this? 和what’s that?进行询问,其他学生作答。依次轮流进行,借以达到熟练掌握句型的目的。若组内成员不懂,其他成员帮助,团结一心,完成任务。教师巡视指导。

  4、学习课文 what’s this?

  教师出示单色物品,用what’s this?

和what’s that?

First I’m glad to be standing here to share my teaching plan. And I really appreciate this opportunity to exchange ideas with all of you.

  Ⅰ. Guiding ideology

New English Curriculum and standards says that, English teaching should take students’ learning interest, experience of life and cognitive level as the starting point, in order to promote the learning style of experiencing, practicing, participating, cooperating and communicating. Correspondingly, task-based teaching method is strongly recommended.

  Ⅱ. Analysis of the book

I’m going to talk about Unit 1 of Module 2, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press Primary English, Book 10. This lesson includes three parts. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about the e-mail from Lingling, which talks about the dietary habits of English food. The second part of this lesson gives students a chance to practice the sentence structure “What did she have for breakfast/lunch/dinner? She had…”. And in section 3, it provides a real situation for the Students to practice the pattern.

  Ⅲ. Analysis of students

Psychologically, students of this age are very imitative, deeply interested in learning English. They have great curiosity and they are eager to show what they know. Therefore, lively teaching materials and flexible teaching methods are needed in this lesson.

  Ⅳ. Teaching aims

Based on New English Curriculum and standards and the analysis of the book and the students, I set the teaching aims of this lesson.

  1. Aims on the knowledge and the abilities

  (1) To enable the students to listen, speak and read the words:

  email ,sandwiches, traditional, delicious

  (2) To enable the Ss to understand and speak:

What did she have for breakfast/lunch/dinner?

  She had….

  (3) Make sure that Ss can describe dietary habits in real situations.

  2. Procedures and methods

  (1) Using a chant to get students’ interest

  (2) Doing listening to understand the knowledge

  (3) Practicing the dialogue in various ways to practice the sentence structure.

  (4) Finishing a task by interviewing in order to make sure they can use the sentence structure in real situation

  (5) Doing homework to develop knowledge

  3. Aim on the emotion

To lead Students to have a good dietary habit

  Ⅴ. Key-point of this lesson

To help Students ask and answer the question:

What did she have for breakfast/lunch/dinner?

  She had….

  Ⅵ. Difficult point

To help students describe dietary habits in real situations

  Ⅶ. Teaching procedures

Now I’ll exchange my idea for teaching procedures.

  Step 1. Warming-up

  Activity 1.

In order to review the learned knowledge, warm up the class atmosphere and get students’ attention to study, I adopt Happy Teaching Method. Let’s chant together. I will use the computer and overhead projector to make the inputs reasonable and comprehensible. It will also make my teaching lively and interesting.

  Step 2. Presentation

  Activity 1

Then I’ll lead the way. The students will interact with the teacher by playing a guessing game to understand and speak the words. In this activity, some traditional teaching media such as cards and pictures are used to reflect the reality of teaching.

  Activity 2.

After having a general understanding of the words, students will listen to the tape carefully and answer some questions to have a general idea of the dialogue.

  Step 3. Practice

In the third step of the teaching procedure, students will practice the dialogue in various ways to internalize English language and cultivate learning strategies of cooperating and learning by themselves. Communicative teaching method is used here to develop students’ ability of using language.

  Activity 1

To internalize the language by reading after the tape and group leaders and reading in pairs

  Activity 2

To consolidate language by acting out the dialogue

  Activity 3

To practice the language by making sentences and communicating in pairs

Students will accomplish the task in groups. They work as a team to communicate in English. This kind of learning method can foster students’ consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition.

  Step 4 Production

In this step, I organize students do an interview. In this step, I let everyone take part in the activity. In this relatively real situation, there is a larger space of thinking and imaging for students. Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Students’ ability of communication and their ability of co-operation will be well trained. New English Curriculum and instructional standards says that students are the real master of this lesson. They are English learner and real master. So the teacher should act as a guider, organizer and cooperator. I will let the Students learn in real situations.

  Step 5 Assessment

In order to encourage students and show the variability of assessment ways, I put “good, great, super, excellent” in my teaching, and give them assessment according to their performance. According to the self-assessment, assessment among groups and the teacher’s assessment, the first three groups are going to be praised for stickers. For other groups, I will also encourage them orally to feel the happiness of success and have more confidence to learn English.

  Step 6 Reflection

To consolidate the learned knowledge and prepare for new one, and gain the learning strategies of cooperating and learning by themselves, I design the homework as follows:

  1. Listen and recite the dialogue.

  2. Design a list of English dietary

  3. Prepare for Unit 2 of Module 2

  Step 7 Reflection

This plan is made according to the New English Curriculum and standards. The first successful point is adopting task-based teaching method to develop students’ abilities of applying English in real life and build up their confidence. The second successful point is using traditional teaching media (cards and pictures) to connect with the modern teaching ideas.

I will change my teaching plan according to the students’ performance to achieve the best effects. Thank you!

  英文说课稿18

  Good morning, everyone,

Today, it’s a pleasure for me to stand here and I’m very pleased to have such an opportunity to share some of my teaching ideas with you. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Guo Xinzhi, and I am working as an English teacher in Yong’an Middle School, Congtai District of Handan.

My topic today is taken from Lesson 37 of Unit 5 in Student Book 4. The main content of this unit is “Go With Transportation”, and the topic of Lesson 37 is “Flying Donuts”. I have decided to say the lesson from six parts:

Part One —— Analysis of the Teaching Material

  One: Status and Function

  1. This unit tells us the improvement of traffic transportation and the related stories. Besides learning this, students will also learn some words, phrases and expressions of traffic, and so on. In Lesson 37, Danny will introduce a new type of transportation to us, it is imaginary.

  2. To attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing, I will have the students do some exercise about the text.

  3. Such a topic is very important in this unit. I will lead the students to use their imagination and encourage them to be creative. For example, helping them use English to describe their imaginary transportation. So I think if the students can learn this lesson well, it will be helpful to make them learn the rest of this unit.

  4. While teaching them, I will also encourage them to say something about what they think the future transportations will be like. In a way, from practising such a topic, it can be helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken language.

  Two: Teaching Aims and Demands

The teaching aims basis is established according to Junior School English syllabus provision.

  1. Knowledge objects

  (1) To study the new words “fuel”, “oil” and “coal”.

  (2) To learn and master the phrases “think of, on the way to …, have fun”, etc.

  2. Ability objects

  (1) To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

  (2) To train the students’ ability of working in pairs.

  (3) To develop the students’ abilities of communiation by learning the useful structures.

  3. Moral objects

  (1) Through different teaching methods to make students be interested in study.

  (2) Love to know more knowledge about tranportation and dare to express their opinions in English.

  (3) Encourage the students to be more creative and try to make contributions to making new inventions in the future.

Three: Teaching Keys and Difficult Points

The teaching keys and difficult points’ basis is established according to Lesson 37 in the teaching materials position and function.

  1. Key points:

(1).Be able to express words, phrases and sentences in English.

(2). Know about the improvement of transportation and Danny’s invention.

  2. Difficult points:

Be able to talk about their imaginary future transportation in oral English.

Part Two —— The Teaching Methods

  Communicative teaching method; 2. Audio-visual teaching method;

  3. Task-based teaching method;

  4. Classified teaching method.

As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method and “Classified” teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the students get a better understanding of the key structures. I’ll give the students some tasks and arrange some kinds of activities, like talking, watching CAI, and reading in roles.

In a word, I want to make the students the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director. I also hope to combine the language structures with the language functions and let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.

  Part Three —— Studying ways

  1. Teach the students how to be successful language learners.

  2. Make situation and provide meaningful duty, encourage the students to study the text by themselves.

  Part Four —— Teaching steps

As this lesson plays an important part in the Engish teaching of this unit, I have decided the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially reading and speaking ability.

  The entire steps are:

  Step1 Warm-up and Lead-in

Show the students some pictures of common transportations, like car, bike, train and so on. Ask the students: What can you see from the picture? Is there another kind of transportation around us?

Purpose of my designing: In this part, have the students say more about what they see or what they don’t see. In this way, they will know today’s leson has something to do with their discussion.

  Step2 Presentation

  1. Learn new words in groups. The new word in this lesson are fuel, oil and coal. Show them pictures of these things and teach them these new words.

Purpose of my designing: After seeing the pictures, the students will know what they are and they can learn them quickly and easily.

  2. Play the tape recorder. Let the students listen and imitate the text. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. Then finish the exercises on the computer.

Purpose of my designing: This step is employed to make the students get the general idea of the text. At the same time let the students have a chance to practise their listening and speaking ability.

  3. Text Learning and a Quiz

I’ll use CAI to present the whole text. I’ll write the key points on the blackboard while they are watching. After watching, I’ll teach them to read the words and sentences on the Bb. Make sure they can read them well.

After teaching them the whole text, including the meanings of new words, the use of similar expressions and so on. Get the students to try and say out some phrases on the screen, like I don’t think so, have fun, a new kind of, on the way to school, and so on.

Purpose of my designing: To present the text by CAI is much easier for the students to learn and grasp the meanings. CAI can provide a real situation with its sound and picture and it makes the relationships between the students better.

  4. Key Structures and Difficult Points Learning

First, I will divide the students into three groups and tell them to have a discussion about what they learn in this lesson. Then encourage them to try to understand the whole text, know what the difficult points are, and so on. At last, I will help them to master them all.

For example, I teach the students know the differences between phrases think of, think about and think over. I will show them some sentences and get them to know the use of these phrases. Encourage them to do some exercise about these phrases.

Purpose of my designing: By practising using these new words and similar phrases, the students will know how to use them in English and master the use of them better.

  5. Read and Say

Give the students two or three minutes to prepare, and then get them read the text together in three groups. Tell them to read aloud.

Then help the students say something about the future transportation or their imaginary transportation. Encourage them to say more.

Purpose of my designing: By reading the text and saying such things, get the students to practise their reading and speaking ability again.

Part Five —— Summarize and Homework

  Ask the students such questions:

What have we learned from this lesson? What does Danny say about his new kind / type of transportation? Do you like his idea? What new phrases have we learned today? Do you have enough confidence to finish these exercises? Now, let’s try!

Then show them some exercises and help them to finish them.

At last, tell the students what today’s homework is. While doing this, the teacher can have the boys and girls have a competition to see who are better.

  Part Six —— Blackboard Designing

Purpose of my designing: Presents the text key content clearly on the blackboard, favors the students to knowledge grasping.

OK. That’s all. Thanks for listening to me and helping me.

  英文说课稿19

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! It is my honour to stand here to interpret my teaching plan. I will explain it from teaching material& Ss’information analysis, teaching objectives, important points&difficult points, teaching methods& teaching aids, learning strategies, procetures, consolidation& homework, blackboard design aspects.

  Teaching material&students’ analysis:

First, I’d like to say about the teaching material&students. The material I choose is from New Standard English Book1 for grade7, Module1, Unit1. The first English lesson. The first period. It is the first English lesson, the beginning of this module, this book, this subject. It is about greetings between new people. The type of the lesson is listening and speaking. The content in this lesson, as a whole, is not difficult, although it is new for the students, especially for those who have little knowledge of English. The students are curious about everything, the lesson, the teacher, and their classmates. Their eagerness of knowledge and show-oriented nature at their ages are so high that this lesson makes an elementary role in our English teaching and learning, not only in this period, this module, but also in our future study work. The lesson will directly and deeply influence the students’ intersts in English and the English teacher, me. In that case, they will keep looking forward to English lesson. So the most important points in this lesson is to motivate the students, to make them confident in English learning, to encourage them to bravely use English to communicate and cooperate. The words and sentence structures may be familiar to some students. For these students, it will be easy to use them. And they will of course feel confident and will like to show themselves. The work I’ like to do is to make them cooperate with others. Let them try to make friends with others. While for those who have little knowledge of English, they not only have to learn to cooperate, to try to make friends with others, but also to learn some knowledge to be confident and brave. Because as long as we have some knowledge, we are able to be confident in using them. And the knowledge points in this lesson is not difficult to learn, so they will be quick at using them.

  Teaching objectives

According to the content, features of the material, and my students’ information, I make the following teaching objectives. The knowledge aim is that the students can use words (meet, first, student, teacher, lesson, class, etc.) to introduce themselves to the new class. As long as the students have mastered the use of these words, they can go to know their new friends, to greet them, to communicate with them. It is the prerequisite, the basic. Then the ability aim. The students should be able to get some information and introduce themselves to others when they are meeting new people. Finally, the emotional aim. The students will be able to be confident and brave in communication and trying to make friends when they meet new people.

  Important points and difficult points:

The important points, except the most important thing I mentioned just now, to be motivated, be confident in English learning and using. I’ d like to add one more point, that is the words, such as meet, first, student, teacher, lesson, class, twelve, thirteen, too. Of course, the difficult point also focus on the most important thing. It is that students learn to be motivated, to be confident and brave in using English for communicating and cooperating with others, making friends with new people.

  Teaching method and teaching aid:

As for teaching method, I use 3-stage medol to process the listening part. I also use communicative language teaching on my lesson, not only giving the students opportunities to do pre-communicative activities, but also communicative activities to improve their pragmatic competence. And for teaching aid, I’d like to choose multimedia. It’s convenient and easy to use. The most important reason is that it helps present the words, aid our teaching& learning process, presentation and provides contextualism for learning activities. It is easier and clearer for the students’ learning.

  Learning strategies:

The students should learn communicative strategies to comminicate and cooperate with other people.

  Procedures:

Then to the most important, procedures.

  Step I. Lead-in.

It will take about 5 mins. In this step, firs, I will greet the students and introduce myself. You know, for a new class, it is a must. To emphasize, it demonstrates the way to greet others. And it also paves way to the lesson. Then I show them a short video which is about greetings between a new teacher and students. It is about greetings from other class. It gives the students an opportunity to know other class’s greetings and it may motivate the students. It will attract the students. It also helps me present words in the next step.

  Step II. Pre-listening.

This step is to learn the words. The learning of the words can help activate the students, predict the listening material, and understand the listening material. I will use the pictures from the video and our conditions to present the words. For instance, he is Mr. Feng. Mr. Mr. I am Miss Tang. Miss. Miss. The boy will be Mr., and the girl Miss. He is an English teacher. I’m an English teacher, too. Teacher. Teacher. Too. Too. Just like this. The combination of the pictures and our real conditions make our teaching and learning easier. During the practice of the words at this stage, I will properly pay more attention to the students who are not familiar with the words. You know, they are relatively slower than other students. They need more opportunities to learn the words. It will take about 7 mins.

  Step III. While-listening.

Then the while-listening part. It takes some 9 mins. Before this step, you know, the students have learnt the words and made a prediction. So it will be easier to do this part. There are 2 tasks to fulfil when the students listen to the record. No.1 is the exercise of the textbook at page 2. It not only helps the students to finish the tasks on the textbook, but also helps the students to understand some detail of the text . No.2. It is more difficult than No.1. It is a table. It requires students to be more careful and more detailed of the text while listening. So the students can take some hints from the students or the teacher, me. At this stage, the main purpose is to learn to get some detail information from others, to comprehend the text and know how to introduce.

  Step IV. Post-listening.

It is about 4 mins. First, I will ask the students to read the activity2 above with the structure “… is…”, “…is from…”, … is a teacher/ student” after me. Then I will require 4 students to read the dialogue in roles. One is Miss Li. The other three are Lingling, Daming, Wanghui. It will make the students further check their listening comprehension and it will also gives room for the students to sort their knowledge, put them in order, in their mind. In fact, it is also the pre-communicative activities, and it paves way to the communicative activities, the next part. Then to the highlight.

  Step V. Speaking.

This step is to let students to be confident in communication with new people using their already knowledge . It is important to motivate the students’ learning interest in English and cultivate the students’ confidence in English. So I will adapt communicative language teaching method to process my lesson and design Communicative activity: making friends. Before begining the activity, I should tell the students about the direction to make sure that they are clear about the regulations of the activity. Before the students do the activity, I will invite two of the students to make an example, with me. I introduce myself to one student, then introduce my friend, the other student, to the student. Then we make friends. The students can go around the classroom to meet, to greet new classmates, try to make friends with each other. You know, the students are show-oriented. They are curious about new things and new people. They like to know others, to make friends with each other. So the atmosphere, you can imagine, is so high. During the time, I also can go around the class to make friends with some students. Time is limited. Then the show time. It will attract all the eyes. Invite students to introduce their friends to the whole class. The show time may make the atmosphere go to the highest. It totally takes about 13 mins.

  Conclusion and homework:

Then the last procedure. It is the conclusion and homework. Ask the students to read the dialogue together. You know, the language points are all contained in the dialogue. It will make the students better consolidate the points. For the homework, I require my students to write down at least two people’ information. One is about their family. The other is the strang and they go to meet him/her and try to make friends with him/her. The homework will help the students further consolidate the knowledge of the lesson, build up more firm confidence in meeting new people and improve the students writing.

  blackboard design:

And that’s my blackboard design.( showed on ppt) The title of the lesson is in the top and the middle of the blackboard. The left are the words and structures, and the sentences are on the right.

  Thank you for listening.
